Given the failure of a couple weeks ago, I wanted to try again but correct for the vacuum caused by the chiller. Instead of a short 3 foot blow off tube I have a 10 foot tube with a 5-ish foot vertical climb and a couple of loops around a hook holding it up. This should prevent anything from getting sucked back into the beer. And then, just to be safe, I have the end of the tube in vodka instead of Starsan. It was the cheapest bottle I could find. But it says "premium" on the bottle, so it must be good. Honestly, I tasted it and it's possible that if this gets sucked in it will be worse for the flavor than Starsan was.
